This is Week 1 of our 7-week First Tactical showcase series. Each week I am pairing a specific IFAK360 module with the exact First Tactical pouch it fits in. Today we start with the most critical module in our lineup.
Module 1 - Hemorrhage Control in the First Tactical 6x10 Internal Organizer Pouch.
Why Module 1 first? Because bleeding is the number one preventable cause of death in trauma. Everything else, wound irrigation, medications, field endurance, matters, but not if someone bleeds out before you get to any of it. Module 1 is always the first one you reach for.
The module.
Module 1 - Hemorrhage Control is vacuum sealed in an 8x15 5mil non-resealable bag. It is designed to be ripped open fast. When you need it, seconds count. Inside you will find a CAT Tourniquet, QuikClot EMS 4x4 Hemostatic Gauze, NAR Wound Packing Gauze, an ETD Emergency Trauma Dressing, HyFin Vent Chest Seal, Trauma Shears, Sterile 4x4 Gauze Pad, 3" Cohesive Bandage, two pairs of Nitrile Gloves, and a Black Marker for tourniquet time documentation. The red color-coded module label means you grab the right one fast without reading a word.
The pouch.
